Meet is proudly partnered with one of our longest-standing clients on their search to add a seasoned Scientific Director to their ever-growing scientific team. Our client, an established, privately-held, global Medical Communications agency is off the mark in 2024 already, starting the year off win multiple new business wins and organic business expansions.


This agency has a reputable name in the industry, having been in the business for over 25 years now and bolstering a client roster of blue-chip pharmaceutical companies and emerging biotech's! The team offer a full-service capability specializing in all things Medical Communications - Publications, Medical Affairs, Promotional Medical Education, Commercial Scientific Solutions and Regulatory - and working across a multitude of therapeutic categories.


They are currently seeking a SD to lead a publications portfolio focused in Cardiology, Hematology, Pain and Infection! Interested? Apply below or get in touch for more information!


Responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and communication support to existing accounts
  • Assist in new business development and facilitate organic growth of existing accounts
  • Identify gaps in services or product offerings for existing clients
  • Lead scientific input with clients and accounts
  • Ensure understanding and implementation of client communication strategies by editorial, scientific, and account teams
  • Develop account strategies and plans
  • Attend workshops and support meeting delivery, including facilitation when necessary


Requirements:

  • 6+ years of healthcare agency experience in increasingly senior roles
  • Broad experience across types of clients and geographical/healthcare market mix
  • Strong understanding of agency and clients’ business needs
  • Excellent personal and written communication skills
  • Interest in science, strategy, and lifecycle management
  • Experience in strategic planning and developing business proposals
  • Ability to work with extended teams across boundaries
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Comfortable presenting to clients with good presentation skills
