We are excited to invite a dedicated and skilled Virtual School Psychologist to join our team in providing outstanding mental health support and educational services to students across Utah.
Role Overview
As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, leveraging advanced technology to connect with students, parents, and educational staff. Your primary goal will be to promote students' overall well-being and academic success through compassionate and effective psychological support.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas needing support.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Provide guidance and support to parents and educators in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assess and address potential learning disabilities or developmental disorders, making appropriate referrals for further evaluation when necessary.
Conduct risk assessments and intervene in crisis situations to ensure student safety.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for improving students' academic performance and mental health.
Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
Qualifications
Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid Utah state certification as a School Psychologist.
At least 2 years of experience as a School Psychologist, with a preference for experience in virtual or remote settings.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide culturally responsive services to diverse student populations.
