School Based Therapist, LSW or LPC

School Based Therapist- Northfolk Shools (Utica, Ohio)

Pay: Starting at $55,000

School-Based Therapists with National Youth Advocate Program will provide mental and behavioral health assessments, develop treatment plans, facilitate individual and/or group counseling to students and provide case management services to students in the program. When school is not in session during extended breaks and summer months, you will maintain your caseload and continue to provide services to your students by meeting with them in the community.

  • Mileage reimbursement: $0.54 per mile
  • Phone reimbursement: $50 per month when using your personal device.

Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management and other professional services.
  • Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
  • Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
  • Required to travel daily during summers and extended breaks to provide community-based services to youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with parents (families of origin and/or foster families), teachers, administrators and other school staff.
  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s level education required in Human Services or Social Work
  • LSW or LPC required
  • A minimum of 1 year of master's level internship or work experience providing therapy services
  • The ability to provide mental health assessments
  • Experience developing treatment plans
  • Knowledge of case management services
  • Develop and facilitate individual and/or group counseling to students in the program
  • Maintain your caseload and continue to provide services to your students by meeting with them in the community during extended breaks and throughout the Summer
  • Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes
  • Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, their family, teachers and administrators
  • You have good computer and technology skills
  • Must be willing to accept other job duties as assigned

Driving and Vehicle Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable personal transportation
  • Good driving record
  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
