We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Based Mental Health Clinician to provide mental health support to students within a school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field, as well as experience working with children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students with mental health concerns
Conduct assessments and create treatment plans to address students' emotional and behavioral needs
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside providers to support students' mental health needs
Offer crisis intervention and support to students in need
Provide education and training to school staff on mental health issues and best practices for supporting students
Document all client interactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
Qualifications:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a mental health clinician in the state
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or similar setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating mental health concerns in children and adolescents
