Scheduler - Small skilled Nursing

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and organized Scheduler to join our team at Katherine & Charles Hover GreenHouses! Built in 2019, our GreenHouses are small homes that provide long term care skilled nursing services for up to 12 residents per home (4 homes/48 residents).

The Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring proper coverage for all shifts, and communicating scheduling changes to employees in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain staff schedules for nursing, caregivers, and other support staff based on facility needs and employee availability
• Ensure proper coverage for all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in patient needs, staff availability, or unexpected absences
• Communicate scheduling changes to staff members promptly and efficiently
• Coordinate with managers and supervisors to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
• Collaborate with HR department to onboard new hires and train them on scheduling procedures
• Monitor overtime hours and make adjustments to minimize costs while maintaining appropriate staffing levels
• Maintain accurate records of employee schedules, time off requests, and relevant communication
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations related to scheduling and overtime
  
  

Qualifications:

• CNA License - Required
• Proven experience as a Scheduler or similar role in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Office and scheduling software
• Familiarity with labor laws and regulations regarding scheduling and overtime
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as needed
