SCCM Administrator - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • As the L3 SCCM Administrator candidate will be required to support the Server Patching / Software Packaging and Deployment for a large/medium US based client with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Provide application/Windows Server OS installation/configuration/ patching data reporting (application install status, client health) leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
  • Manage SCCM policies and documentation.
  • Leads and plans upgrades, changes, or implementations for System Center Configuration Manager Components while following established change control procedures.
  • Responsible for coordinating and implementing Configuration management for the project and organization maintaining the resulting product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Through understanding of enterprise data center technologies such as networking, data security, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), SAN and physical data center best practices sufficient to resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems, and administer and support technical operating systems and enterprise data.
  • Perform general system administration duties in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Lead and drive definition, implementation and enforcement of systems administration operational processes, procedures, policies and associated documentation.
  • Research, identify, and drive the implementation of innovative approaches to system administration tasks with a focus on automation, error reduction and service improvement.
  • Managing the Windows Server image, application packaging and scripting, and related project work.
  • Monthly/Quarterly deployment of security patches to Windows Servers.
  • Create various reporting through SCCM for Patching Status and Client health.
  • Knowledge of System Dudes Reporting is a plus.
  • Coordinate on daily production and change management.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of changes and request necessary sign-offs.
  • Own the SCCM monthly, quarterly and semi-annually patching lifecycle.
  • Manage the deployment of software updates and security patches in accordance with the company patching standards.
  • Support on the roll-out of SCCM Server clients.
  • Support for the Windows Server environment that includes Microsoft Server OS Support for Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019.
  • As a L3, would be required to meet the agreed Service levels and improve customer experience.
  • You are expected to resolve critical issues quickly in circumstances of major outages. Provide On-Call Support as and when required. Further you are expected to help in resolving non-critical issues.
  • As a Subject Matter Expert, you are required to, from time to time, provide consultation to the customer in terms of technology and service improvement plans.
  • The job requires handling Escalations and providing updates and resolution for complex and pending issues.
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis for critical issues and participate in internal and client calls and ensure appropriate communication and collaboration as necessary.
  • Candidates would be required to co-ordinate and work with other Leads and teams and assist in effective delivery of service.
  • Ensure all important and necessary documentation is in place and enable team members to create relevant infrastructure documents and validate & maintain them.
  • Have regular interaction with the team as necessary helping the team to build their technical capabilities and in turn improve the overall service delivery and satisfaction of the client.
Technical Skills Required:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating System Support Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019 environments and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good Experience in MS SCCM Administration and Software packaging.
  • Good Experience in SCCM Patching / Software deployment at large scale (500+ Servers).
  • Experience in PowerCLI / Python scripting.
