SAP Analyst

Duties

Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Application Development matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Not only possess full technical knowledge of most phases of systems analysis but also consider the broader business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Acts as a team leader for projects with large budgets, with wide impact, and work extending over an extended time. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Business Analysis assignments.

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced and highly motivated analyst to join its technology team. This role will be part of the implementation and ongoing support of the SAP S4/HANA cloud ERP solution.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new business processes and changes to existing functionalities, and translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Effectively work with business and IT teams to prioritize and plan implementation of changes.
• Expand and maintain up-to-date functional knowledge relating to SAP functionality and associated business processes.
• Log/track problem and development requests including message handling and dispatching, resolution tracking, and problem escalation.
• Ensure system changes (i.e. solution updates, WRICEF development, configurations) are properly tested.
• Conduct and lead workshops with business users to ideate and provide demos/training on the new capabilities.
  
  

Functional SAP Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on SAP configuration experience within SD.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Vistex paybacks, chargebacks, and pricing.
• Familiar/implemented Vistex V4.
• Strong integration knowledge among SD, MM, FI processes, and master data.
• Align Vistex solutions to enterprise business and IT strategic initiatives.
• Implement and enhance Vistex using best-practice software and application engineering techniques and principles
• Work with SAP Vistex software, implementing business functions as algorithmic processes by using Vistex-proprietary data variables/fields, and configurable object structures.
• SAP Vistex hands-on experience with configurations, issues handling Order processing - chargebacks and returns, and billing areas. Excellent knowledge of EDI and IDOC processing.
• Configure and test End-to-End business scenarios for vendor rebates, customer rebates, Chargebacks, Claims & Transaction, and Agreements.
• Work with functional areas (Sales, Purchasing, and Finance) to elicit and document requirements. Troubleshooting of SAP Vistex and related third-party solutions.
  
  

Overall Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Vistex paybacks, chargebacks, and pricing.
• 3+ years of configuration experience in S/4 HANA Cloud.
• 3+ years of configuration experience in SAP ECC.
• Good business oral and written communication skills and a team player.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into system-supported solutions.
• Must work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Preparing detailed systems documentation, test scripts, best practices, and business processes and procedures.
  
  

Additional Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain management preferred.
• Experience in wholesale pharmaceutical distribution or life sciences preferred.
• Prior SAP implementation/upgrade experience and best practice knowledge preferred.
• Experienced with CPI, SAP Activate, Testing, and Solution Manager.
