Join a global supplier of clinically researched nutraceuticals and functional ingredients, as their VP of Sales overseeing North America! For decades, our client has led the way in ingredient innovation. They are pioneers, introducing many now-popular ingredients from the global market to the United States. This is a remote based role in the United States, ideally located by a major airport.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales and Revenue Goals: Develop and implement sales plans, with annual growth targets of 10% for net sales, gross profit, and net income, while maintaining gross profit margins.
- Team Development and Performance: Hire, train, and coach the sales organization.
- Key Account and Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts, suppliers, and industry partners, and manage high-level negotiations to expand market presence and achieve strategic goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Market Analysis: Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with business objectives, and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Sales Processes and Performance Metrics: Establish effective sales processes, including forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics, while developing promotional campaigns, sales incentives, and pricing strategies to enhance market competitiveness.
- Travel: To suppliers, customers, and tradeshows.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of B2B sales experience and product knowledge of proprietary branded ingredients and commodity raw materials used in the nutritional supplement segment.
- Proven track record of success in senior sales leadership roles within the nutraceutical or dietary supplement industry.
- Excellent understanding of the sales cycle, distribution channels, and retail strategies specific to nutraceutical products.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at various organizational levels.
- CRM experience.
- Humility, kindness, and eagerness to learn more.
- Ability to work remotely in a home office if not local to HQ location.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Compensation: Base salary range of $185,000 - $225,000 based on years of experience and a 30% target bonus.
