HumCap's client, a B2B software company based in Plano, TX is searching for a Sales Operations Manager to join their team. This Sales Operations Manager will be the right hand person for the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer and help inform strategic decisions for the sales organization.
You will be tasked with providing strategic insights for a sales force of 18 individuals including sales forecasting, commission structures, sales process workflows, training and development, and tools organization. Through your optimization and enhancement of the sales operations processes, you will help drive revenue growth and ensure seamless sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning
Collaborate with CSMO to develop sales strategies and set targets.
Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance sales processes and increase revenue.
Process Optimization
Assess and improve sales processes, workflows, and systems.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance sales performance.
Sales Forecasting and Planning
Work with the finance team to create accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
Monitor sales pipelines, deal stages, and conversion rates.
Sales Training and Development
Design and implement training programs for new and existing sales team members.
Maintain and update process documentation.
Conduct periodic content reviews and updates.
Data Management and Integrity
Manage Salesforce (SFDC) to ensure accurate data.
Create and maintain SFDC reports and dashboards.
Identify areas of improvement based on reports.
Sales Performance Analysis
Utilize data and analytics to provide actionable insights.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports.
Present findings to CSMO and the Executive Team.
Sales Tools Owner
Manage SFDC instance and commission tracking tool (SPIFF).
Oversee SFDC and SPIFF administration, potentially outsourcing activities as needed.
Sales Compensation and Incentives
Assist in designing and optimizing sales compensation plans and incentive structures.
Marketing Support
Collaborate with Marketing to create and revise marketing-related SFDC reports.
Provide input on behalf of the sales team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus
7+ years experience in sales operations or a similar role within a technology company
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
Excellent project management and organizational skills; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
In-depth knowledge of sales processes, sales methodologies, and best practices
Familiarity with Salesforce including Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Pardot)
Familiarity with SPIFF or other commission tool is a plus
Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different teams
