RENK Systems Corporation, located in Camby Indiana, is the U.S. support hub for Test Systems and other special machinery, domestically and abroad. RENK is the world leader in the design and manufacture of helicopter transmission test stands for development and end of line testing. In addition, RENK delivers world class test equipment to other industries including Aviation, Renewable Energy (Wind Turbine), and Automotive.


The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sales of new gearboxes, spare parts and services in the oil & gas, power generation, extruder (PP/PE) and cement (VRM) industries within the United States, Canada, & Mexico. The target candidate would be responsible for implementing the sales strategy to increase sales, margins, market share and brand awareness of RENK products. Furthermore, the target candidate would be expected to conduct regular and recurring visits to customers and end-users to identify their current needs and future investment projects. These visits would be critical to influencing customers to consider RENK products as the preferred solutions for their requirements.


This is a remote position with candidates preferably residing in Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio, Texas preferred.


Job Description:


  • Regularly visit customers and end-users within the United States, Canada & Mexico to understand requirements and projects. Seek to influence opportunities early in decision cycles for sale of new gearboxes, service contracts, and spare parts for current installed gearboxes, both RENK and competitors.
  • Present company overviews and product presentations to customers, as well as larger audience at conferences.
  • Discuss and explain gearbox solutions to the customer on a technical level.
  • Review and analyze individual customer’s service and equipment needs.
  • Provide quotes and technical solutions to customers.
  • Conduct business development for other RENK industries, as required.
  • Influence end-users to add the RENK Group to their qualified vendors list.
  • Collect and analyze market and competitor information.
  • Identify and target markets to sell RENK products, spare parts and services.
  • Establish sales strategies for specific projects.
  • Represent RENK at trade shows and conferences.
  • Review and negotiate contracts with the support of RENK’s legal counsel and the sales team of the relevant RENK subsidiary in Europe.
  • Gain customer trust through technical knowledge, integrity, and transparency.
  • Position involves mainly domestic and occasionally international traveling.



Qualifications:

  • Business, Marketing, or Mechanical Engineering degree (preferred, but not required with equivalent sales experience).
  • Independent with strong self-motivation skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Turbo Gearboxes and compressor trains with ability to learn more advanced concepts.
  • Basic Knowledge or ability to learn of the Extruder and Cement business.
  • At least 1-3 years’ sales experience with the oil & gas or power generation industry.
  • Familiarity with maintenance and repair of gear systems (preferred).
  • Extensive network in the oil & gas industry, including OEM and end-users (preferred).
  • Experience in negotiating contracts with general knowledge of contract law.
