Sales Director

Our client, a school furniture and equipment dealer, is actively looking for a Sales Director to join their team in Bay Shore, NY! This role is mostly onsite and will require regional travel 1-2 weeks a month.

They are looking for an experienced Sales Director who can lead a team of driven sales professionals. The ideal candidate will have deep experience within the entire sales process, strong lead generation experience, and be strong at closing deals and building relationships. Additionally, the role demands a leader who has a sharp mind and an ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives while building and maintaining a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company successfully with comprehensive knowledge of product offerings and embrace core values
• Research customer needs and identify how to achieve their objectives/goals
• Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives
• Achieve company sales and gross profit objectives by planning thoroughly, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and developing and managing sales forecasts
• Develop skills continuously for hiring, training, and leading team members, and ensure that they're using effective sales tactics to meet revenue goals
• Generate leads and establish and nurture client relationships
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to keep the company ahead of competition

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• 3-5+ years of experience in sales management
• History of strong sales tenure
• Proven ability to lead a team to meet quotas
• Experience setting sales goals
• Deep understanding of Salesforce
• Ability to be on the road with salespeople for consecutive days
• Strong communication and analytical skills
