This position can be in UT or remote (preferably in Eastern US area).
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Generate new Sales from existing and new customers with a particular focus on Engines / Nacelles, and Business / Regional Jets market opportunities.
- Formulate requirements for Hexcel products and knowledge into recommendations to meet customer needs.
- Shape growth strategies based upon in-depth knowledge of market and competition and develop innovative customer growth strategies which cover multiple Hexcel product lines and customer sites.
- Regularly utilize tools and forecast data to meet sales targets and forecast accuracy
- Lead preparation of proposals to ensure customer requirements are met and to improve our competitive position.
- Leverage resources and knowledge of products, services, processes and operations to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantages and foster business growth.
- Offer solutions leveraging Hexcel vertical capabilities solving a customers need by understanding the customer better than any competitor.
- Engage / Leverage customer decision makers to sell additional Hexcel value fostering long-term growth.
- Manage internal processes to include strategic and business planning (STRAP), and all requirements of Hexcel’s growth process
- Lead teams to optimize and implement pursuit strategies across all Hexcel technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, chemical or mechanical engineering from a four-year college or university is required and 7+ years’ experience in sales in a technical field and a network in the aerospace composite materials community.
- Sound technical understanding of composite materials; sales or related experience a must.
- Strong communications, interpersonal, planning, organizational, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Comprehensive business proposal writing experience preferred.
- Ability to develop and lead negotiation strategies.
- Aerospace market and composite materials experience preferred.
- Must possess good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced IT application skills (MS Office, ERP/MRP experience) including MS Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Teams and Experience using CRM software with a preference of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Self-starter, motivated, hardworking, works well in team environment with a passion for seeking new opportunities and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time - domestic (mostly) and international.
