Job Description

DMC Insurance is seeking a highly motivated individual that works well in a team and has experience working with Executives. He or she will be responsible for working with the sales team to maintain relationships with DMC’s nationwide broker distribution channel, its customer base, and a large role helping the team maintain its commitment to its process, including documentation, communication, and CRM management. Successful individuals will be results driven, have strong attention to detail and an aptitude for relationship management. Responsibilities

  • Actively engage with DMC’s group of brokers to reach their highest level of success with DMC.
  • Lead or assist in sales presentations to both Brokers and prospective customers. This may include creation of sales collateral, attending meetings with brokers, insureds, and potential customers, and interactions via phone or email.
  • Create and maintain detailed content in DMC’s CRM regarding brokers, insureds, and potential customers. This includes a record of contact points, details around quotes and their outcomes, and information regarding individuals within each group including position, role within the company, and any relevant personal information.
  • Maintain strong internal relationships with the DMC team including Risk Engineering, Underwriting and Claims to further improve the overall sales strategy.
  • Support sales team’s efforts to build and manage a sales pipeline and manage the tracking of activities through various stages of sales funnel.
  • On rare occasions participate in industry events representing DMC Insurance.
  • Maintain monthly communication with Brokers to deliver results and create transparency around activity.
  • Collect market intelligence from Broker network and document in CRM to assist sales team with tactical market sales strategies by competitor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years or more experience with insurance or consultative selling.
  • Experience in identifying new business opportunities and introducing insurance concepts to businesses is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the transportation insurance industry is a plus.
  • Available to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Acumen - Ability to make practical, realistic and timely decisions after considering facts, available organizational resources, and potential risks.
  • Proven ability to engage cross functionally across teams and businesses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, prioritize critical tasks, communicate with the sales team on status, and deliver on objectives and tasks in a timely fashion.
