Sales and Trading Manager

Summary/Objective

The Sales and Trading Manager is responsible for Participating in the development and implementation of the Pricing & Trading Desk strategy for attaining the sales, turnover and profit targets. Supporting the development and implementation of concepts for expanding the market position and the product portfolio's profitability in the area of responsibility.


Essential Functions

  • Adhere to the approved budget and introduce suitable measures to counteract potential and actual deviations in consultation with the line manager.
  • Actively driving and controlling the RFQ/Quotation pipeline and associated raw material positions and win rate / follow through on quotes, within the Fruit & Vegetable s department
  • Monitoring and controlling of raw material positions in the Fruit & Vegetables department
  • Carrying out market analysis as well as competition analysis
  • Development of new potential with existing and new customers
  • Preparation of price calculations as well as negotiation with customers
  • Contract management and measurement of monthly contract performance
  • Executing various ad hoc analysis for sales control
  • Support of the daily business in the pricing and trading desk department

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary on occasion depending on work load.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in juices, purees, or commodities
  • Minimum 3 years of business development experience - product management, sales and/or marketing
