At Holliday Rock, The Field, Fleet, & Safety Trainer will report directly to the Safety Manager. The Field, Fleet, & Safety Trainer will establish and promote a safe, secure, accident-free, and healthy work environment for all Holliday Rock personnel by working with Class A, B, & C drivers towards the elimination of on-the-job incidents, injuries, accidents, property damage and environmental accidents/incidents. The Fleet Safety Trainer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and enforcement of all safety and driver training requirements in accordance with Company policies, procedures, operating standards, state and federal laws/regulations, and industry standards/requirements. Additionally, the Field, Fleet, & Safety Trainer assists the operations and its management team to oversee the daily operations of the field work to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Job Description
Holliday Rock’s Fleet Safety Culture is to Reduce Accidents by identifying Risk.
Conduct new hire driver training, elevated risk driver class training, specialized training as needed.
Utilize (SWA) Stop Work Authority when applicable.
Review existing Safety Training and significantly improve safety performance.
Determine which strategies are successful in the overall Fleet Safety success.
Develop strategies to overcome training barriers.
Works on training and documenting SB21 with operations.
Provides On-the-Job training of new drivers and retrains drivers who have been re-assigned to new routes, line of business or drivers who have driving performance issues.
Performing job task observations by using KPA Flex for existing and New Hire’s through in cab, at a distance and targeted to ensure proper and consistent safety and performance duties are achieved.
Train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and recommend removal of applicants from the training program, as appropriate.
Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
Providing hands on-coaching on defensive driving, emergency reporting and response, hours of service ELD, Samsara (VER). and Smith System.
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
Maintains training documentation and records of all driver's training.
Assist in communicating safety expectations.
Attend driver safety /occupational health and safety meetings and re-enforce agenda items and follow up actions.
Ensure efficient and excellent customer service is provided to all customers.
Assist All operations with route observations.
Manages special projects and other related management duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
At least 2 years of a Class A CDL or experience Ready Mix Preferred

Willingness to work outside normal business hours if necessary.
Proficient in computer skills, including managing databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and various management software.
Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented, ensuring maintenance tasks are not overlooked and minor site problems do not become major site problems.
Must be able to understand and adhere to the safety requirements of this position.
Ability to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipment.
Physical Requirements
Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 100 lbs. of weight frequently.
Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
Ability to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.
Ability to repeatedly walk on uneven surfaces.
