Safety Representative

As a locally owned and operated waste management and recycling company, we've been experiencing explosive growth, and with that growth comes an incredible opportunity to shape the future of workplace safety. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Safety Representative. This position will initially train for six months in the sunny landscapes of South Florida, but will ultimately find its home base in the vibrant community of Rigeland, South Carolina.

As a Safety Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our commitment to safety is upheld throughout every aspect of our operations.

What will you be doing? Your responsibilities will include

• Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and develop effective corrective actions.
• Coaching and training district managers, supervisors, and frontline employees on accident and injury prevention strategies.
• Providing comprehensive training and support to management and behind-the-wheel instructors to ensure that our new hire program is both effective and compliant with company guidelines.
• Coaching supervisors on conducting thorough and effective safety observations to identify potential hazards.
• Equipping managers and supervisors with the necessary tools and training to implement and uphold company safety programs and initiatives.
• Monitoring the completion of safety-related tasks across all corporate levels.
• Providing support for the integration of new acquisitions, ensuring that all EHS functions are seamlessly integrated into our existing safety framework.
• Collaborating directly with our operations team to ensure strict adherence to our company's health and safety protocols.

• A Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
