About Our Client

Our client is an international Real Estate Development firm that self performs construction. Their Denver project pipeline consists of high rise construction.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for the Construction Safety Coordinator include:

  • Developing a Safety Program, and following up on implementation.
  • Assisting Project Superintendent with recognizing, controlling, and evaluating safety at the jobsite.
  • Keeping the client's managers and field personel advised of federal and state safety regulations.
  • Ensuring Subcontractor disclipline regarding safety and health programs, policies, and regulations.
  • Assisting Operations Manager and field personnel as needed.
  • Researching and selecting training courses for employee education and certifications.
  • Accident investigation
  • Knowledge and enforcement of OSHA standards.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Construction Safety Coordinator will have:

  • OSHA-30 Hour certification. OSHA-500 certification preferred.
  • 3+ Years of commercial construction experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Knowledge of industry specific safety standards including OSHA 1926 Construction
  • Knowledge of stormwater and erosion control requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to manage and administer safety orientations, oversee substance abuse prohrams, and investigate injuries and illnesses on-site.
