Route Sales Manager

Our client, a leading food manufacturer, is in search of a motivated Route Sales Manager to lead their Direct Store Delivery (DSD) initiatives in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

• Coach and develop a team of Route Delivery Drivers.
• Track and drive key initiatives and metrics.
• Set daily delivery targets for Route Delivery Drivers and manage performance metrics.
• Provide feedback, coaching, corrective counseling, and conduct performance reviews.
• Maintain regular communication with retail partners/decision makers to implement national and local programs.
• Conduct a minimum of two full day route rides per week to train, develop, and evaluate Route Delivery Drivers.
• Teach delivery and merchandising processes, including role plays, overcoming objections, retail math skills, and understanding decision maker personalities.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding assigned objectives.
• Flexibility and ability to travel extensively (including flying) as needed sometimes up to 20-25% of the time.
• Frequent travel to New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
