Rigger

Description

Riggers are responsible for the preparation, rigging, and testing the boats. They contribute to the customer’s delight and satisfaction by confirming the boats are ready for delivery. The position is non-exempt.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates timely, high quality completion of new and used boats for delivery
  • Maintains a safe & environmentally friendly work environment
  • Safely operates and maintains company equipment
  • Provides an excellent customer service and delivery experience
  • Adds and installs any additional options or accessories as designated on the rig ticket
  • Processes paperwork in accurate timely manner, including reporting time
  • Maintains and protects the interior and exterior of the boat during the preparation process
  • Notifies Service Manager when boats are completed and ready for delivery
  • Maintains a daily upkeep of work area and store grounds, including garbage pickup and grass cutting
  • Coordinates with Parts Manager on parts and equipment added to ensure timeliness
  • Supports execution of boat shows, store & off- site events

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Exhibits a positive and energetic appearance in the work environment that contributes to the Sales and Service team members’ objectives
  • Communicates effectively with Service Managers and Parts Managers
  • Promotes team attitude and supports other team members, departments and locations to insure the customer has a seamless experience through the sale, delivery, and subsequent servicing of the boat
  • Internal and external customer satisfaction
  • Accuracy of rig tickets and repair orders
  • Identification of warranty work
  • Must have own hand tools, boat or car engine experience
  • Lift 10 lbs infrequently, Standing, Climbing, Constant use of Hands, Outdoors
