Chewy is seeking a talented, passionate, and proactive Photo Retoucher, II to join our in-house Post Production Department located in Plantation, FL. You’ll be responsible for Photo Retouching many overlapping photography projects produced at Chewy for both e-commerce and marketing. You must have the experience and enthusiasm necessary to jump into a team that is responsible for supporting all business units and digital channels for Chewy.
What You'll Do
Perform image editing, masking, color-correcting, compositing, illustration, and manipulation across a high volume of images of diverse scope with complicated needs with limited internal oversight and approval
Work directly with peers, designers, and Studio Creative Directors to review in-progress and completed projects
Advise on strategic workflow enhancements informed by real-time project insights
Work with the Photo Retouching Manager to contribute to process improvements and documentation
Provide Photo Retouching expertise to aid on-set photography teams and contribute to key project decision-making
Adhere to Photoshop file setup and organizational standards set by department leaders
Collaborate with partners throughout the lifecycle of projects, submitting work for approval at key points
Work with photography received from internal studio production teams as well as external vendors
Collaborate with assigned colleagues in the digital QA process to uphold the quality standards across all projects
Prepare for creative direction developments and pivot as appropriate in response to direction
Earn trust through active and nuanced communication with peers and leaders throughout Chewy
Assist with researching and testing new technology solutions for hardware & software upgrades
Work on other projects as assigned
What You'll Need
5+ Years of Photo Retouching experience
Expert level skills with Adobe Photoshop CC
Proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, and Capture One
3D modeling experience a plus
Working knowledge of Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills
Strong eye for detail and aesthetics, with a passion for creating visually stunning imagery
Proficient understanding of all aspects of Photography
Ability to receive and interpret creative feedback from internal and external clients to direct revisions
Thrive in an ever-developing, fast-paced environment - happy to be flexible and pivot on a dime!
Proven ability to identify unique solutions to complicated problems
Active listener with a strong ability to think critically
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
A positive, can-do attitude
Available to work on weekends and evenings when needed
