As a Retirement Plan Analyst, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for a group of valued Retirement Plan Services clients, guiding them through the intricacies of plan management and ensuring their financial goals are met with confidence.
The Role
Manage all aspects of daily plan administration, from processing contributions to handling distributions and regulatory filings.
Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries and resolving issues to their satisfaction.
Conduct nondiscrimination testing and offer strategic solutions for compliance, aiming to enhance future plan performance.
Prepare regulatory filings, including Form 5500, with precision and attention to detail.
Proactively address operational and compliance challenges, offering expert guidance to both clients and internal teams.
Communicate complex regulatory requirements in a clear, accessible manner to clients of varying levels of expertise.
Exercise independent judgment to resolve issues and offer recommendations for plan optimization.
Uphold plan compliance by interpreting and maintaining legal documents in alignment with IRS and DOL regulations.
Stay informed about evolving laws and regulations impacting retirement plan administration.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or ASPPA credentials (or willingness to obtain).
Strong customer service skills, with a commitment to exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional follow-up support.
Proficiency in retirement plan administration and relevant regulations, including IRS tax rules.
Ability to multitask effectively, make sound decisions under pressure, and maintain accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, fostering a professional and customer-focused atmosphere.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Experience with Pension Pro is a plus.
