Position:

Retirement Plan Administrator (TPA) *Very motivated!*

Location:

REMOTE – work from home - equipment provided

Salary:

$65k-$115k

Education:

College Degree or equivalent experience

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of administration experience, 8+years for high end of salary
  • Must have hands-on compliance testing background and have completed 1 full cycle of testing
  • Must have prepared Form 5500 and other related schedules
  • Must have Defined Contribution a plus if DB or Cash Balance included
  • Must have performed Employer Calculations to be considered for higher end of salary range
  • Must have Management/Team Lead/Quality Review experience to be considered for the high end of salary range
  • Must have experience with multiple recordkeeping platforms

Additional notes:

  • Experience with 3(16) fiduciary responsibilities is a plus
  • Experience with SRT is a plus
  • Experience with MEPs, PEPs and ROBS is a plus
  • ASPPA and/or NIPA credentials are a plus

Description:

The ideal candidate has relevant experience of 3-8+ years performing hands-on plan administration to an assigned caseload and possesses excellent client communication skills. In addition to plan administration experience, we are looking for candidates that appreciate and will take advantage of continuing education.

Responsibilities and Primary Duties:

· Serve as main point of contact and take “ownership” for assigned clients

· Provide support to financial advisors and referral sources

· Ability to accurately interpret and apply plan document provisions

· Ensure compliance with ERISA DOL and IRS requirements

· Annual compliance testing for assigned clients (402(g), 415(c), 410(b), ADP/ACP, Top Heavy, Plan Limits etc.

· Preparation and filing of Form 5500 and related schedules

· Prepare projected and actual employer plan contribution calculations with allocation methods

· Trust accounting/financial reporting

· Custodian downloads, uploads and imports

· Contribution reconciliations

· Facilitate vesting updates with custodian

· Plan payroll processing, as needed

· Preparation of custodian correction/update forms, as needed

· Provide support to Senior Retirement Plan Consultants and assist in training of new Associates

· Review of Retirement Plan Associate work for assigned clients

· Assist clients with locating missing participants and securing ERISA bonding

· Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) determination and processing

· Ensure proper coordination and delivery of annual required notices

· Represent the company on client calls and in client meetings, as needed

· Have a working knowledge of custodian websites and processes

· Support the retirement plan implementation, conversion, de-conversion and termination processes

· Collection and review of annual census data and employer questionnaire

· Census imports and data checks

· Determining plan eligibility

· Determining Highly Compensated Employee (HCE) and Key Employee status

· Loan and distribution support
