JOB SUMMARY:

MP's Client is seeking an individual for their remote Retirement Plan Consultant role. In this position, you will enjoy the unique challenge of putting your retirement plan knowledge and client service skills to work alongside a team of other retirement plan professionals. The ideal candidate for this position is a person that has experience completing administration tasks for 401(k) plans, including, compliance testing, trust accounting, eligibility and contribution calculations, Form 5500s with audits, research related to compliance matters, consultations regarding ERISA items and answering questions for team members completing these tasks.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support to internal and external clients on complex topics related to retirement plans.
  • Responsible for quality control and review for up to 200 small and mid-sized plans.
  • Responsible for preparation of year-end compliance projects for up to 50 small and mid-sized plans.
  • Responsible for answering questions and reviewing escalated or complex distributions.
  • Assisting and completing complex projects and calculations such as missed deferral opportunities and plan audits.
  • Assisting team members with research and consultation on plan administration projects.
  • Interacting with Client Service Managers and Plan Sponsors on complex plan issues as the subject matter expert.
  • Interacting with Plan Administrators to obtain answers on projects and help prioritize project completion.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve departmental processes.
  • Help meet individual, departmental, and company key performance indicators (KPIs).

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:


Education: Bachelor's Degree


Experience:

  • 3+ years of Retirement Plan Experience with a thorough understanding of retirement plan compliance.
  • Understanding of daily recordkeeping processes.
  • Relius experience is strongly preferred!


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Professional and concise verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Builder of collaborative rapport.
  • Exceptionally organized individual who juggles multiple projects with minimal oversight.

  • Can do, client focused attitude who thrives on accountability, credibility, and trustworthiness.


Credentials/Certifications: QKA or equivalent credential


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Location: Fully remote!!
  • Compensation Expectations: $80,000 - $85,000 per year
  • Benefits: 401(k) with fully vested 5% employer match. Company pays 100% of employee health insurance. 4 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO).
