Retina Consultants of America (RCA) is proud to offer a one-year research fellowship. The RCA retina research fellowship prepares graduates for careers in ophthalmology with an emphasis on clinical research and quantitative analysis.


With 30+ research centers, 400+ active clinical studies, and 2,300+ research publications, RCA is the #1 retina research network, fostering advancement and growth through innovation and best-in-class care. Our fellow will be well positioned and mentored to make a significant impact in retina research.


Program Description: The RCA retina research fellowship is focused on advancing the field of retina through high-impact prospective and retrospective research. One year of projected research time will permit the fellow to contribute to numerous high-impact projects and publications. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to clinical research and the development of a professional career in ophthalmology.


Research: The RCA retina research fellow is expected to present project results at local, national, and international scientific meetings and at meetings hosted by RCA. The fellow is also expected to publish in peer reviewed ophthalmology journals.


Benefits and Qualifications: Our fellow has the option of working remotely or out of Austin, Texas. This is a full-time position starting summer of 2024 offering a competitive salary, benefits, a company issued laptop, and travel expenses.


Ideal applicants should be enrolled or have completed medical school and have proficiency in the fundamentals of statistical analysis and clinical research.
