The core of our business is direct to consumer, but, as a fast growing and continually evolving company, Ollie is looking to launch into emerging omnichannel opportunities. We are looking for an enthusiastic new colleague who will be able to build, test, and scale training and sales engagement tactics at retail.

In this role, you will report directly to the VP, Commercial. Together, you will support Ollie’s retail expansion, by conducting in person training, merchandising and business development relationships with retail store leadership. You will develop and deploy in store marketing strategies and tactics that will drive the business forward. In doing so, you will ensure that partners, managers, groomers, and vet staff within our retail partners' stores will be educated and excited about selling Ollie’s wonderful and highly disruptive food. To achieve this, you will work closely with our partner’s sales and leadership teams, district and general managers, and store partners, as well as Ollie’s marketing, finance, operations, and CX teams, to build training materials, design exciting contests, host in person, training and sales events.

This role will report to our VP of Commercial and is based remotely in the US.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage overall learning and development, and sales engagement strategy for wholesale accounts
  • Deliver quantifiable KPI improvements through virtual and in-store training on the Ollie brand, product attributes, and selling programs
  • Plan and execute sales-driving marketing tactics, merchandising updates, and product sampling/trial events in stores
  • Contribute to selling and service learning curriculum development, course development, and micro-learning videos through prioritization, storyboarding, video recording, and training asset creation
  • Host local market group trainings based on business needs and to support new product launches
  • Review district and store-level reporting and partner with internal teams and retailer corporate leadership to determine performance gaps that can be resolved through additional training, sales contests, content creation by market
  • Oversee any needed agency support staff to continuously train, maintain visual merchandising, drive sales results, and execute impactful brand events in partnership with retail partners
  • Through regular in store visits provide detailed feedback to internal teams on successes and challenges for training, product sales, marketing and visual merchandising


What You'll Bring:

  • A strong knowledge of retail training, retail marketing, merchandising, and event planning
  • 5-7 years of experience in retail/wholesale training, building and deploying successful sales and training programs at retail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and confidently with internal colleagues and external partners at all organizational levels
  • Proactive problem solving skills, with an ability to analyze performance, and pivot strategy if necessary
  • Experience building and managing marketing and events budgets
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member to complete tasks and support company and team goals
  • Strong organizational skills to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Superb attention to detail
  • Comfortable working remotely and on some nights/weekends
  • An enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others, and a proven ability to navigate a fast paced, growing organization with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
  • A love for dogs and desire for them to live their happiest, healthiest lives
