The Retail Insights Analyst is responsible for supporting the North America retail channels with meaningful and insightful reporting and analytics to drive increased productivity and growth. This role will focus on reporting, forecasting, and modeling of retail sales, wholesale purchases, and KPIs. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions (Sales, Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations, etc.).
Your Role as a Retail Insights Analyst:
Creation and maintenance of daily/weekly/monthly retail sales, purchases, and KPI reports to field sales and NAM leadership; to include weekends and holidays
Partner with Sales leadership to develop strategic business plans and oversee the planning of annual retail sales, purchases and KPI plans to ensure that financial organizational targets are achieved
Review and recommend strategies to improve store/customer productivity and growth
Assist with identifying root cause issues across the Sales team and problem solve to fix with short term and long term solutions
Support store level retail sales and purchase forecasts based in trends and projections
Build strong relationships with business partners to influence the achievement of strong retail sales and other key KPIs
Develop financial models to monitor trends, improve forecast accuracy, and identify risks/opportunities
Support healthy inventory management within stores, ensuring they are well stocked in top 100 DVs and maintaining a healthy WOC.
Create and maintain daily/weekly/monthly trend reporting and scorecards measuring store forecast, KPIs, etc.
Lead deep dives on store performance using analytics to inform and influence the sales team around key drivers supporting the development of store-level strategies
Provide ad hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed
What is needed to succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics or related field required
3-5 years of experience in retail analysis and data modeling
Experience from retail, fashion or FMCG industry strongly desired
Ability to interpret large sets of data, analyze results, identify key issues, and provide recommendations
High energy and is adaptable to changes in business
Problem Solving skills with a desire to fix root cause issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable multitasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate cross functionally to drive process improvements and business results
Ability to learn new systems and to work between various IT systems efficiently and accurately
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (with focus on Excel and Power Point) and experience with BI tools
Salary Range - $85,000 - $95,000 based off experience and geographic location
