Retail District Manager
Overview:
The Retail District Manager will be responsible for the strategic management and performance of multiple dispensaries within a designated region. This person will be tasked with optimizing store operations, coaching and developing teams, and implementing retail strategies. The District Manager will play a pivotal role in elevating the customer experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and compliance within the evolving cannabis marketplace.
Responsibilities:
- Lead dispensary managers to generate profitable sales through proactive business forecasting, demand-driven scheduling, delivery of exceptional customer service, and successful execution of all programs and initiatives
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regularly assess sales metrics, providing actionable insights to drive continuous sales improvements
- Ensures compliance with industry and legal regulations and best practices, and adherence to company processes and procedures
- Oversee resource allocation, staffing, and workforce planning in coordination with managers to meet production demands effectively
- Assist with new store openings within the region, including ordering and accepting supplies, meeting with on-site vendors, and communicating progress to leadership
- Promote a customer-centric culture across dispensaries, ensuring consistency and enhancing the overall customer experience
Qualifications:
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- A deep knowledge of state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance
- Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail and a focus on process optimization
- Experience with cannabis specific point of sale and compliance systems, preferably Dutchie and Metrc
- Ability to travel regionally on a regular basis to support the needs of a growing retail organization
Education & Experience:
- Progressive career in retail and retail management with a minimum of 5 years in a management role
- Experience overseeing multiple store locations
- Current or previous experience within the cannabis industry
- Minimum of an associate degree preferred
