Methodist Home for Children (MHC) operates multipurpose homes throughout NC. Multipurpose homes are life-changing residential facilities designed to support youth. These homes are crucial in breaking the cycle of criminal behavior for Level II repeat juvenile offenders. Our dedicated staff implement a specialized model of care that empowers teens to transform their behaviors, develop new skills, and recover from setbacks.

Role Overview: Program Manager

Responsibilities

As the Program Manager of our Lumberton Multipurpose Home, you will be the cornerstone of our mission to foster positive change. You will oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional program services. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Program Supervision: Lead and supervise the group home to ensure a nurturing and structured environment.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the home's budget to ensure financial health and resource allocation.
  • Staff Leadership: Manage and mentor a dedicated team of child-care workers.
  • Service Delivery: Coordinate and ensure the effective implementation of our care model.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive relationships with volunteers, service professionals, clients and their families, and the local community.

Are You the Right Fit?

We are looking for passionate individuals who meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (a degree in human services is preferred).
  • Three years of experience working with youth or a similar client population.
  • Previous supervisory experience with child-care workers is highly desirable.
  • Direct care experience with adolescents and their families is preferred.
