We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented research specialist to join our team. The research specialist will be responsible for collaborating - internally and externally - to design and execute research, analyze data and present findings to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and be able to work collaboratively with all partners to deliver actionable insights & results on the topics of general health & wellness, sport performance, injury prevention, and/or rehabilitation.


  • Work with internal senior marketing, design & development teams to identify strategic 3-year research initiatives around OOfoam™ technology, design iteration and product optimization/integration.
  • Create goals and plans for research initiatives and proposals.
  • Act as primary point of contact with outside research partners and legal counsel
  • Must manage the BRANY Commercial IRB process from application to completion in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage projects end-to-end with research partners to conduct research - from concepting to implementation, support, analysis and result validation.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and external agencies, contractors and partners to ensure research projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Deliver high-level, precise summaries of research findings to key stakeholders – helping to understand findings, new questions and next steps.
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations summarizing research findings for both technical and non-technical audiences, including performance partners, subject-matter experts and consumer/trade audiences.
  • Validate and clear all research statements or claims through legal partners and contractors.
  • Identify opportunities to submit research findings to publications, articles, presentations, grants, certifications, manuscripts and other documents, as well as composing them.
  • Travel ~15% and occasional work during non-traditional hours
  • This is a hybrid role reporting to the Braintree, MA office a minimum of two (2) days per week.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in human movement science (biomechanics, kinesiology), engineering, biomedical engineering, ergonomics, or related field; or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
  • Master of Science preferred
  • 5 -7 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be familiar with common research software and tools, as well as principles, concepts, techniques, and methodologies of research.
  • Deep understanding of footwear science preferred
  • Strong interdisciplinary and cross-functional project management and leadership skills, as well as ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated ability in turning research insights into messaging, program or product concepts
  • Ability to balance research integrity and business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific topics to a diverse, non-technical audience - Interpersonal, written, and vocal communication skills are exceptional.
  • Experience with claims-based research is desirable
