The Sage Group’s client is seeking a Research Program and Communications Manager, Global Market Insights.


Overall Responsibilities


As a Research Program and Communications Manager you will have two primary areas of focus.


  • You will lead the project and process management of concurrent research initiatives. You will collaborate with researchers across the Global Market Insights team and internal stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of research initiatives that meet internal quality standards and align with research briefs. Additionally, you will work with vendors to ensure timelines are met and key progress metrics are reported.
  • You will develop and execute a communications strategy to elevate the visibility and impact of Global Market Insights work. You will help position the Global Market Insights team as a thought leader and trusted advisor among both internal and external stakeholders.


Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:


  • Program Management: manage program timelines with internal teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors. Develop and manage project plans and related documentation to monitor program progress and stakeholder and partner updates.
  • Research & Analysis: fulfill stakeholder requests for analysis and data. Coordinate complex analysis requests with internal research lead and external vendors. Provide perspectives on technical areas related to research if needed (e.g., sampling, quotas, sample size, etc.).
  • Communication Strategy, Content Creation, Coordination & Measurement: Develop, update, and maintain a communication strategy and plan, including KPIs to track the effectiveness of communication efforts. Craft communications content such as newsletters, research summaries, and other materials.


Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:


  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies
  • Strong project management skills, particularly within the context of market research
  • Data analysis and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise, and engaging narratives for diverse audiences


Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:


  • Experience in B2B research


Key Services:


Program Management:

  • Managing program timelines with internal teams, internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Coordinating internal resources to ensure timely and efficient execution of task/projects
  • Assisting in defining, developing and managing program/project management controls and processes necessary to add structure and efficiency to overall project execution
  • Developing and managing project plans and artifacts to monitor program progress, stakeholder and partner updates


Research & Analysis:


  • Fulfilling stakeholder requests for analysis and data
  • Coordinating complex analysis requests with internal research lead and external vendors
  • Providing initial data analysis and insights on research
  • Providing perspectives on technical areas related to research (e.g., sampling, quotas, sample size, etc.)


Communication Strategy, Content Creation, Coordination & Measurement:


  • Developin a multi-channel communications plan outlining target audiences, key messages, content formats, and distribution channels (internal platforms, industry events, publications, etc)
  • Creating communications materials such as narratives, newsletters, presentations
  • Establishing metrics to track the effectiveness of communications efforts
  • Coordinate with members of Global Market Insights team and if relevant, partner Insights teams on content development
  • Coordinating with external design and communication vendors where needed


Key Deliverables:


For key research initiatives, deliverables will include the following:

  • Stakeholder engagement to finalize research scoping
  • Maintenance of research archive and documentation for all relevant initiatives
  • Development, updates, and maintenance of research calendars, timelines and milestone updates
  • Collaboration with researchers to synthesize research into compelling, actionable narratives


Comms:

  • Communications channel strategy that targets key internal and external audiences, identifying the most effective platforms and formats for disseminating insights
  • Recommended KPIs and mechanism to track effectiveness of comms efforts on an ongoing basis
  • Creation of compelling content that highlights insights-driven successes, methodologies, and thought leadership
  • Update/maintain internal GMI team site
  • Coordinate production of internal GMI quarterly newsletter, which includes highlights of GMI work


Any other deliverables that client requests in writing (email to suffice).
