The Office of Research and NSF ART Grant Team is looking for a dynamic and engaged research assistant to support all aspects of the recently awarded grant. The incumbent should be available to support in-person and virtual events, assist with communications and outreach, and perform general research assistant tasks. It is not required but would be nice if the student has experience with website design or management.

The Office of Research and NSF ART Grant Team is looking for a dynamic and engaged research assistant to support all aspects of the recently awarded grant. The incumbent should be available to support in-person and virtual events, assist with communications and outreach, and perform general research assistant tasks. It is not required but would be nice if the student has experience with website design or management.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Assisting with day-to-day project operations and tasks.
- Supporting events and online engagement as needed.
- General research support.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Interested in a project-focused role and are committed to quality work.
- A professional and effective communicator.
- Organized, proactive, and punctual.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities at the same time as needed.
- Work up to 20 hours/week.
- It is preferred that the incumbent be an upperclassman or a graduate student at American University (with graduation after December 2024).
- Please note that this is a hybrid position. Some in-person presence for event support may be required.
- The position is available for Spring 2024 with the hope of renewal for Summer 2024 (with increased hours) and beyond.
- 20 Hours/Week.
- $17.50-$20.00 per hour.
