Overview
The Research Assistant will assist the Associate Professor on various research projects.
Responsibilities
Under direction from the Associate Professor, assist in the execution of various research projects including conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data and summarizing project results, monitoring the project budget, and assisting in the interview process.
Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations and for the Babson Human Subjects Committee review.
Prepare interview questions, recruit and/or interview subjects, maintain accurate interview records and confidentiality, and summarize interviews as needed.
Ensure the Associate Professor has access to experimental data as needed.
Manage and respond to project-related emails.
Prepare, update, and maintain website materials.
Attend project meetings, seminars, and other meetings as necessary.
Prepare progress reports, articles, and presentations and summarize project results on an as-needed basis.
Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s Degree.
College level research and writing experience.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to learn new skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Zoom, Webex, online researching, and citing materials.
Must have effective time management skills and the ability to set priorities.
Envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
