Research Assistant

We are seeking a Microbiology Research Assistant for our client who specializes in environmentally sustainable and science-based technology solutions to a variety of industries.

Type: Contract to hire

Pay: $26.44 - $28.85/hr

Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 - 4:30

Responsibilities:

• Actively participates in and supports formulation development activities under the guidance of senior scientists, focusing on vaccines, human probiotics, enzymes, vitamins, and other bioactive molecules.
• Ensures meticulous recording of all data in laboratory notebooks, adhering to timely documentation practices, and appropriately signing and dating records.
• Reports all tests promptly, efficiently, and accurately to Supervision and Project teams, in strict compliance with documented laboratory procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of and actively engages in process development and scale-up activities as necessitated by project requirements.
• Prepares comprehensive project reports and presentations tailored for both internal and external audiences.
• Executes and comprehends microbiological techniques essential for the evaluation and enumeration of various microbes.
• Identifies and troubleshoots problems that may impede test analysis, promptly notifying other scientists or Laboratory Directors when necessary, and enters test results into the Laboratory Information System to ensure standardized reports and interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (BS), Master's degree (MS), or equivalent experience in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industry laboratory experience in the field of microbiology.
