Who You’ll Work With

AllianceBernstein is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst for our US Small/SMID Cap Value team, reporting to the Portfolio Manager of this team.

What You'll Do

Research defines the culture of AB Equities and is the cornerstone of our collaborative investment decision-making process. Our analysts engage in creative, rigorous and long-term strategic analysis that is the basis for all portfolio decisions. We seek to own good businesses at attractive valuations and apply a long-term approach as owners of businesses. We serve clients globally, with research coverage across developed, emerging and frontier markets and our teams are based in offices in New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney, and Hong Kong. Your key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct financial and related data analysis on publicly listed companies and associated entities.
  • Create detailed financial projections and valuation analyses for these companies.
  • Make strategy-appropriate investment recommendations based on a thorough understanding of key company, industry, and market issues.
  • Meet company management teams, brokers and independent research providers, data vendors, etc.
  • Accountability for investment recommendations based on the above, and in the best interests of AB’s clients.
  • Assist with production of marketing and client communication materials.
  • Uphold AB’s fiduciary obligations, adhere to the Code of Conduct and uphold AB’s reputation as a representative with clients and in the broader industry.
  • Travel when necessary to AB offices, research conferences, company headquarters.
  • Promote an appropriate diversity and inclusion culture in the firm.
  • Promote the research of, and actively consider, the corporate governance and social responsibility cultures of the companies we invest in.

What We're Looking For

  • A B.S./B.A./CFA or comparable qualification, and 3+ years of business experience in finance, strategy or related fields
  • Financial analysis experience through equities research, management consulting, or direct industry experience preferred
  • Analytical, inquisitive and highly motivated to achieve, with a record of outstanding academic and professional success
  • Possess strong problem solving and math skills, including a high degree of comfort modelling in MS Excel and significant experience in interpreting financial statements
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a passion for investing

Role

In accordance with Section 8-107(32) as set forth in the New York City Human Rights Law, the minimum and maximum base annual salary for this role is as follows:

Base Salary Range: $160,000 to $200,000

Actual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base salary is just one component of total compensation at AB, which may include, depending on eligibility, commissions, year-end incentive compensation, short- and long-term incentives and Department-specific awards. In addition, AB provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, sick and vacation time off.
