The Research Aide will primarily work on MRI image processing. The Research Aide will perform a variety of duties in support of the goals, objectives, and protocols of research projects within an assigned group at the F. M. Kirby Research Center.
Assist with the implementation of and perform MRI studies on both humans and animals.
Assist Faculty member with processing all MRI images for publication.
Obtain informed consent for research studies by contacting eligible participants/parents by
telephone and/or email and during meetings.
Complete literature searches/reviews upon request.
Assist with preparing grant applications, conference submissions, and manuscripts, by developing
bibliography and reference pages, and editing and formatting documents.
Assist with the preparation of presentations for internal and external groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
Research focus is on the animal MRI studies.
EDUCATION
High school diploma is required.
Undergraduate study in Computer Science, Physics or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Course work in computer science or biology is preferred.
