Project

They are working on a online integrated account bringing portals together. This particular team is an extension of one of the 5 portals they are bringing together. This Sister portal or expansion team will be digitizing a very paper driven process for the special waste non-hazersous materials portion of business.

POSITION TITLE: Sr. Business Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Business Analyst analyzes the needs of the Company’s most complex functional business areas within Republic Services providing recommendations on system solutions or procedures. As the liaison between the business and IT department, the Senior Business Analyst ensures that the scope of work requested to enhance or modify existing application processes are clearly documented, communicated, and validated. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with IT experts to design, develop, document, test and validate solutions that meet business requirements and may be asked to lead projects and mentor other Business Analysts.

Project Information

This is a very fast-paced, high visibility environment supporting our Customer Zeal initiative. We are building enhancements to an existing customer-facing application for our Special Waste product. The Business Analyst will be able to manage and understand release management concepts, API integration, as well as cross-team planning and collaboration for dependencies. Candidate must be an exceptional communicator, as well as be able to take the lead and drive the team’s work.

Principal Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison with stakeholders to analyze the needs of various functional business areas while enhancing software and reinforcing business standards
• Create detailed documentation of functional, system (non-functional), user and reporting requirements that may include but is not limited to: Use Cases, Logical Models, Process Flow Diagrams, Report Specifications and Data Mapping & Flow Diagrams
• Performs research and analysis for proposed projects to determine feasibility and durability
• Perform profiling and analysis of data from source systems
• Ensure that solution requirements are clearly documented, communicated, and validated
• Provide support to functional and user acceptance testing groups throughout development life cycle
• Assist with the creation of value proposition (ROI) for proposed projects
• Help the team to define and control scope for development initiatives and release schedule
• Work jointly with other IT Managers to create detailed work plans for software development and enhancement projects
• Responsible for status reporting, knowledge transfer and implementation plans as appropriate for the software solution being developed
• Build and maintain relationships with software application vendors and implementation partners
• Instruct , direct , guide and check the work of Business Analysts
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer engineering, information systems, finance, statistics, computer science or a related field or minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a business analyst capacity working with business systems related to systems support, analysis, or development
