Assignment

  • Lead 7 – 14 onboarding projects simultaneously to establish automated monthly data uploads from external partners to the AbbVie data lake;
  • Lead and perform the key activity of the onboarding projects; functional mapping of external data to the AbbVie template;
  • Align with the Abbvie warehousing and transportation partners and their AbbVie counterparts on the mapping decisions;
  • Define report development requirements to support the AbbVie partner to fulfill the AbbVie data requirements, if standard reports are not sufficient;
  • Coordinate with the AbbVie technical provider and the warehousing and transportation partners to establish the technical connection between the parties;
  • Coordinate the testing and go live of monthly updates;
  • Note: Experience/in-dept knowledge of warehousing and transportation processes are key for this assignment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years’ experience; master’s degree with 2 years’ experience; PhD with 1 years’ experience;
  • Experience in Logistics and Distribution and Logistics and Distribution processes and systems;
  • Exercises latitude in the approach to problem solving;
  • Experience in Third Party Risk Management and Cyber Security in particular;
  • Experience in Agile, Kanban and/or related methodologies and their supporting systems;
  • Proficient in/knowledge of SAP, software and middleware (EDI, API’s, OpenText, Tibco, etc.);

Description

  • Works directly with business unit clients and external partners to understand specific business processes and business drivers and business strategy of Global Distribution and Logistics; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via (innovative) technology. May prepare testing plans to confirm that requirements and system design are accurate and complete. Conducts training;
  • Develops, or reviews the creation of information systems strategy to support the strategic requirements of Global Distribution and Logistics especially on the 3rd Party Connectivity. Identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies. Ensures compliance between business strategies and technology directions;
  • Actively maintains a collaborative atmosphere with the internal and external global stakeholders and supports on the resolution of operational systems issues or the realization of operational opportunities for information systems in scope for Global Distribution and logistics;
  • Collaborates with, and supports internal and external partners in setting up playbooks and developing backup processes and systems to ensure Business Continuity in case of unplanned system outages;
  • Investigates and understands capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across the business area and similar and interconnected business areas in AbbVie and external partners, and investigates available technologies applied to this business area in industry;
  • Makes recommendations to process stakeholders regarding the correct approach to achieve process improvement objectives. These may include business process outsourcing, application development or adopting business process management (BPM) practices.
  • Develops internal and external business relationships and integrates activities with other BTOs to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Manages relationships between clients involved and BTOs to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring. Brokers services within BTS on behalf of customers; coordinates portfolio of solutions and identifies interdependencies.
  • Allies with other BTOs to remain current on project status, and inform customer management of progress; conversely, keeps BTS managers aware of user issues and resolves conflicts. Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of the fit of the proposed business process improvements and the technical solution to the business needs and the information upon which the business justification and prioritization decisions are made. Also accountable for communicating the business need and drivers to development groups to assure the implementation phase can fulfill the business need.
