Job Title: Remote Senior Lighting Designer
Company Overview: Join our dynamic team at a high-end luxury architectural lighting company specializing in bespoke lighting solutions for discerning clients. We cater to an exclusive client base including luxury homes, small businesses, and the hospitality sector, delivering exquisite designs that illuminate spaces with elegance and style.
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Senior Lighting Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating captivating lighting designs that enhance the ambiance and functionality of luxury spaces. With a focus on innovation and attention to detail, the Senior Lighting Designer will work independently to conceptualize, develop, and execute lighting solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Location: Dallas, Texas (Preferred)
Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients, architects, and interior designers to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop lighting concepts and design proposals that align with client preferences, architectural aesthetics, and project budgets. Create detailed lighting plans, layouts, and specifications using industry-standard software. Select appropriate lighting fixtures, controls, and technologies to achieve desired effects and performance levels. Conduct on-site visits to assess existing conditions, coordinate installation, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies to continually enhance design capabilities. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. 4+ years of experience in architectural lighting design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of high-end residential and commercial projects. Proficiency in lighting design software such as AGi32, Dialux, or Relux. Strong knowledge of lighting principles, techniques, and best practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and project stakeholders. Detail-oriented with a passion for innovation and creativity. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
