Summary

We are seeking a Field Sales Specialist to take the lead for Greater Omaha in retaining and expanding sales in our branded beef programs and value-added products. We are looking for a candidate with either food service or retail experience preferably both to assist in reinforcing current branded business with dedicated partners as well as identifying and onboarding new customers.

  • Outside Sales with a focus on Value-Added Products
    • Qualifying and Prospecting End-user Customers of Core Distributor Partners of Greater Omaha.
    • Growing Mix and Balance of Business with Existing Assigned customers to increase tonnage and enhance product and brand use mix.
    • Customer Service and Marketing Project Customization Specific to Customer needs. Coop Marketing, Custom Marketing, & Standard.

  • Brand Development with focus on key, targeted accounts.
    • Licensing and Trademark agreement execution and maintenance.
    • New Product Development and Evaluating Practicality of New Items
    • POS, Tradeshow, and Sales Material Development & Management.
  • Direct Sales with emphasis on Value Added Products and Key Accounts
    • Writing Sales or Developing the sales from conception to PO and then following through with managing the accounts and items.
    • Prospecting and Qualifying targeted accounts
    • Handling Claims, Customer Concerns, and Dispute Resolution.
  • Manage T&E Budget.
  • Other duties & projects as needed

  • Sound and proven understanding of sales and marketing strategy is vital in this role

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Marketing preferred). Equivalent and relevant work experience would be considered.

Highly Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in the Beef industry
  • 5+ years sales and marketing within the food industry
  • Bilingual preferred

TRAVEL: Most weeks 3-4 Days a week. Home Office 1.5 days a week. Must be flexible with this as it will change as needed.

GEOGRAPHIC AREA: Primary area will be the Western/Northwestern region but not limited to this area. The candidate should reside somewhere between the Mid-west and the Upper West Coast region and have easy access to an Airport.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT: Cell phone reimbursement, Laptop, Company Vehicle, & Company Credit Card.
