The Director, IT Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for working within a multi-disciplined team to address all areas of infrastructure technology architectures including design, implementation and support.
Essential Functions
Responsible for the direction, definition, oversight, coordination and development of technology infrastructures covering servers, storage, network, databases, virtualization, and cloud technologies
Aligns efforts across the various technical disciplines within the company to develop innovative and appropriate infrastructures that enable the enterprise to deliver best-in-class services to members, providers, and employees
Directs, manages plans and administers the operational and administrative activities of the Infrastructure Engineering department
Determines, plans, schedules the development, introduction, communication and maintenance of scalable, advanced technologies and methods to integrate with existing environments
Manages the full lifecycle of the hardware resources including servers, networking devices, storage arrays, and cloud technologies
Frugally manages a majority of CareSource’s Capital budget for HW & SW which can range from $8-10MM
Drives the design and implementation of support and monitoring of existing and new infrastructures to achieve high availability
Responsible for determining hardware requirements and communication bandwidth to support projected transaction volumes and response time and system availability targets
Coordinates the activities of the Infrastructure Engineering department. Organizes and controls the activities of the section, assigns personnel to the various projects and directs their activities
Reviews and evaluates the work of the staff and prepares periodic performance reports
Develop metrics and measures for individual responsibilities for members Infrastructure Engineering teams based on Caresource established goals and requirements
Responsible for the design, implementation, and engineering of a highly available hybrid data center architecture supporting 99% uptime / availability for applications and IT resources
Assess technology platforms to ensure reliability, availability, security, cost, and performance, justification, regulatory, infrastructure and short/long term planning
Oversee and directly contribute to day-to-day troubleshooting and problem resolution
Establish organization structure to facilitate incident and problem management as it relates to Servers, Storage, Network, Telephony, and Client Systems
Represent IT in project and/or business meeting and engagements
Introduce new customers to IT services to assist in familiarizing them with appropriate systems, services, policies and procedures
Serve as an escalation point for front-line analysts to escalate problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation
Perform any other job duties as requested
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience required
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in related areas including five (5) years of direct experience in developing and implementing technically diverse application and infrastructure architectures for companies
Five (5) years of management experience is required

Compensation Range
$130,300.00 - $228,100.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
