Under the supervision of the Regulatory Compliance Manager, the regulatory intern will have responsibilities that will report to the Regulatory department. Additional responsibilities include collaboration with Operations, Quality, and the R&D department.
This position will entail ensuring the systems and procedures are managed by updating, entering, revising, and documenting information from: internal sources, suppliers, and customer requests. Additionally, this role will support the regulatory compliance specialist and the other document technician(s) with his/her duties.

Portals
Upload documents into customer portals.
Fulfill document requests to customers.
Systems
Manage and maintain data within Tropos, Product Vision
Manage and maintain Digital Kosher
New item initiation, reactivations, deactivations
Assist/carry out pending deactivations.
Product Revisions
Initiate customer notification process
Collect and tag supplier documents (high and medium risk materials)
Collaboration with other departments
Communicate in a professional manner with customers, sales, and internal personnel.
Be detail oriented, possess good time management and organizational skills.
Collaborate with Operations to problem solve issues related to labels, work instructions, etc.
Other duties as required

Education And/or Experience
Preferred Associate’s degree in food science, science or other related curriculum. Equivalent experience will be considered.
A minimum of one year of related experience in the food science and or systems is required.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Language And Other Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work related documents, technical procedures, etc
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively communicate with managers, vendors, customers, and other employees of the organization.
Fluent in oral and written English
Reasoning Ability.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
