We are seeking a dynamic Regulatory & Compliance Specialist with a strong legal background and expertise in gaming and cannabis regulations to join our team. As a key member of our regulatory compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our

company's adherence to rapidly evolving industry regulations across different territories.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Stay abreast of and interpret gaming and cannabis regulations at the local, state/provincial, and federal levels, ensuring our company's compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Policy Development Develop, implement, and update compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Risk Assessment Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks effectively.
• Training and Education Provide training and educational programs to internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters, ensuring a thorough understanding of obligations and responsibilities.
• Monitoring and Reporting Establish monitoring systems to track compliance activities and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Advisory Support Serve as a trusted advisor to internal teams, providing guidance and interpretation on complex regulatory issues and compliance matters.
• Industry Analysis Continuously monitor industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support business growth plans.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, operations, finance, and risk management, to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives and objectives.

Job Details

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the gaming and/or cannabis industry.
• Strong understanding of gaming and cannabis regulations at local, state/provincial, and federal levels.
• Proven track record of adapting to rapid industry changes and growth plans in a high-growth environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in policy development, training, and education on compliance matters.
