The Nurse Manager is responsible for the supervision, direction, and scheduling of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Nurse Assistants (NAs) as well as the oversight of professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care, care coordination and evaluation.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Leads RNs and NAs to offer quality, confidential, and compliant clinical nursing care.
Supervise and schedule RNs and NAs
Hire and Train RNs and NAs including coordination with temp agencies as needed.
Provides direct patient care and care coordination to meet the needs of the client.
Administers prescribed medications as well as trains on the administration of medications.
Serve as quality control for EHR documentation including daily RN notes and vitals.
Complete audits of charts and medications.
Serves as the liaison between the medical and behavioral health staff.
Serves as a key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues.
Helps develop and implement regulatory-compliant policies, procedures, quality assurance plans, and work standards.
Maintains skills to provide direct care.
Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Two scheduled floor shifts (12 hours) per week and in addition to administrative schedule.
On call requirement including RN coverage, RAC Director leave, and quality control responses. Must be able to respond to facility in Salida within 30 minutes.

Job Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, healthcare laws, regulations, and practices.
Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structure, and functions

Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nursing guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures.
Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements.

Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care.

Skill in initiating appropriate crisis interventions and emergency responses.
Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone.
Skill in preparing/maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making.
Ability to analyze options and counsel patients and families about choices.
Ability to engage clients and families in the development and implementation of a care plan.
Ability to read and interpret physicians’ orders and notes from other providers.
Ability to manage the overall provision of nursing services and build consensus among staff.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse individuals at all levels.
Ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and deal effectively with changing priorities.
Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to communicate clearly.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write English language.
Ability to perform CPR and respond to emergency situations.
Ability to appropriately wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Education or Formal Training:
RN degree. Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Current state registered nurse license.
Current CPR certificate.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of professional nursing experience. Experience working with mental health and substance abuse populations in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.

Summary Of Compensation
The base compensation represents the entry point of the range. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education and performance. The salary is just one component of Solvista Health's total compensation package for employees.
For position openings where sign-on bonus is present, any former employee who seperated within the last 180 days is ineligible for said bonus option.
