J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers and J&J Truck Equipment seek a self-motivated, Regional Sales Manager to lead account management and business development within the industry as the highest quality manufacturer and upfitter. The individual will retain and grow our customer base in the northeast and nationally for government, DOTs, and local municipalities as well as distributor management and development. They are responsible for conducting all sales activities and implementing marketing plans and will meet established sales goals and work to develop new business. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Other Duties May Be Assigned.
Grows business within assigned J&J accounts in the region to meet and or exceed sales targets developed in conjunction with the VP of Sales.
Strategically develops new business accounts in the region, meeting or exceeding sales targets set in conjunction with the VP of Sales.
Works closely with the J&J team to capture customer requirements, provide timely quotes, and fulfill sales orders.
Works with marketing to develop and implement regional marketing plans, including attendance at regional and national trade shows.
Develops excellent working relationships with regional OEM sales personnel in assigned territory.
Maintains and builds knowledge of the heavy truck equipment industry and is recognized as an expert within the industry network.
Regularly shares market intelligence with J&J Sales, Marketing, and Product Development personnel.
Demonstrate the ability to prospect and develop sales leads, including but not limited to identifying qualified leads, cold-calling, and getting meetings with decision-makers and owners of target organizations.
Demonstrate the ability to establish rapport with potential and current customers quickly. Must demonstrate an understanding of the sales cycle and maintain appropriate levels of contact with customers throughout each stage.
Establish, maintain, and develop business, social, and networking relationships with individuals within the truck equipment industry to generate and maintain a positive image for the organization within the industry.
Demonstrate and explain the use of the products.
Demonstrate the ability to close a deal in a timely manner.
Uses CRM tools to track and monitor accounts and reports regularly to the VP of Sales.
Attends regular training to keep abreast of new products and technology developments.
Attends trade shows.
Conduct all business transactions in an ethical manner.
Education And/or Experience
Four-year college or university program diploma; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
