Overall Responsibility

The Regional Production Manager will be primarily responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and establishing new farm networks in designated geographic regions. We are looking to expand our territory in the following states: Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Arkansas, Montana, Maryland, Delaware, Vermont


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Oversee and manage all Pete & Gerry’s owned layers in the above regions.
  • Build and supervise a team of qualified poultry service technicians as needed.
  • Partner with VP Farm Operations to develop effective farm network recruitment plans and establish clear prospect criteria and qualifications to increase the overall number of layers in the region.
  • Identify, develop, and place effective farm network recruitment posts and advertisements. This includes making timely recommendations on new approaches to recruiting and when changes are recommended.
  • Build relationships with relevant industry associations, social networks, and farm communities.
  • Attend and participate in relevant industry and community events.
  • Screen prospects to ensure farms meet qualifying requirements.
  • Work with family farmers to understand the business financials of running a successful family farm operation including any related contract review.
  • Provide support and assistance to family farms in locating and acquiring bank financing.
  • Develop build plan for family farmers for new barn construction or barn conversion to cage free egg production.
  • Track and report on all build projects to ensure on-time project completion.
  • Provide support to service teams with layer service and or pullet growing service.


Minimum Requirements/Qualifications


  • High school degree or GED.
  • 7+ years of poultry industry/management experience with 3+ years of layer experience.
  • Expert knowledge of cage free brown laying hens and pullets.
  • Thorough understanding of current requirements for free range and pasture production.
  • Well organized with strong project and time management skills.
  • Solid understanding of business financing.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Effective communicator verbally and in writing.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel for recruiting or other company-related events.
