Summary
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple branches within a designated region. They supervise Branch Managers and Outside Sales Representatives, develop strategic sales plans, and ensure the achievement of corporate goals. The Regional Operations Manager also reviews financial statements, maintains compliance with company policies and procedures, and represents the company at trade association meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and respond to day-to-day warehousing and logistics issues escalated from warehouse managers
Hire, train, and develop warehousing and logistics regional teams
Maintain inventory management standards throughout assigned region
Oversee cycle counting activities to ensure frequency and integrity of cycle counting activities are maintained.
Monitor inventory performance by item and develop recommended actions on non-performing and under-performing assets
Ensure proper administration of all consigned inventory locations within assigned region to ensure minimum inventory performance metrics are maintained, periodic cycle counts are performed
Optimize logistics practice for both inbound and outbound movement of product within assigned region, including internal warehouse transfers.
Monitor supplier compliance with shipping instructions and initiate communication/resolution on non-compliance.
Monitor internal warehouse transfer volume by item and location and execute recommended action on findings (setup as stock in additional locations, ship direct, etc.)
Oversee vending operations including fulfillment/replenishment processes and system maintenance/troubleshooting
Direct planning and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and transport fleet
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
5-7 years in a supervisory or management role in distribution or logistics
Proficiency in computer skills, including basic ERP, Word, and Excel.
Thorough understanding concepts and terminology associated with enterprise-level distribution and inventory management activities
