This is a newly created role within the high growth ecommerce space! The e-commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated! In this role, you will own the day-to-day logistics operations management and the performance of a third party facility.
Responsibilities:
Manage third-party logistics partners
Monitor metrics for key performance indicators, vendor performance scorecards, and development of business cases to support logistics process changes and improvements
Work collaboratively across teams to gather and define comprehensive business requirements, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the supply chain and logistics operations
Manage relationships with multiple internal customers within the third party facility and cross-functionally across the organization
Recognize improvement opportunities specific to the cost and quality of services to be provided
Create documented business cases, present business cases to peers and leadership for approval, and provide ongoing project management
This role require frequent travel in the region
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience managing third-party logistics providers/vendors
Strong project management and continuous improvement skills
Experience managing inbound, outbound, or quality operations with a thorough understanding of key metrics, inputs, and outputs
Track record of success in operations management, including but not limited to problem solving, capacity planning, cost management, etc.
