Regional Market Manager Americas

The Regional Market Manager drives regional execution of global Exteriors and Interiors market strategies and owns the present regional product portfolio through global PPO definition and future product portfolio through managing the NPI regional process and regional launches of global technologies. You will report to the Global Automotive DCS Business Director.

You will act as the first source of exteriors / interiors product expertise and guidance for both internal and external stakeholders.

You will respond to requests from the commercial teams concerning which products to sell and how to win, looking first to Preferred Product Offerings for the advantages they convey internally and externally. You will act as a conduit between regional commercial and technical teams, as well as with global product management, highlighting future product gaps and potential opportunities and collaborating to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.

You will work with Marketing Communications and the region’s commercial team to develop and deploy selling tools (e.g., product training; value proposition; competitive benchmarking) that position PPG to win when the customer makes a buying decision.

Accordingly, this role will be measured on exteriors / interiors new product sales, overall revenue growth, profitability and pipeline growth within the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of regional market strategies
  • Market and VOC insight gathering
  • Product lifecycle management - regional portfolio
  • Support the global definition of PPOs with regional analysis and input and drive the execution with commercial policies in the region
  • Support growth and pipeline customer opportunities with value messaging, secure launch support, coordination of resources and certifications/specification approvals.
  • Drive evaluation, prioritization, and execution of regional product development pipeline, portfolio, and projects
  • Lead new product launches and localization efforts in region across project types
  • Contribute to regional customer strategies and reviews
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, technical, manufacturing, procurement to deliver objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masters Degree in business, marketing, chemistry/engineering, or technical degree
  • 5+ years experience in strategic marketing, product management, strategy, business development, or technical role
  • Ability to work in new market segments
  • Proven track-record of delivering results and driving execution
  • High learning agility for a fast paced, evolving, global business environment
  • Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills
  • Ability for global travel
