Job Description
Position: Regional Manufacturing Manager
Primary Location: home based US or Canada
Shift: Monday to Friday - 40 hours/week; o vertime as required
Reports to: VP Sulphur Products
Compensation: $180,000 - $190,000 +bonus + benefits (salaried, exempt)
Salaried rates are determined by role, level, and location. The salaried rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process, as some facilities are subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Please note that the compensation details listed in the US roles postings reflect the hourly rate only, and do not include benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives such as overtime and shift premiums.

About This Role And About You
The Regional Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the overall management of multiple plant locations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in adherence to all Chemtrade policies and procedures in the areas of EHS, Quality and Cost control. This position includes day to day management of the facilities as well as assisting the VP of Manufacturing in the development of longer-term strategic goals. He/she will also be responsible for successful execution of the capital spending plan and to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in all areas of plant operations. Reporting to this position will be the respective management of the plant locations that is under the span of control. The Regional Manufacturing Manager is responsible for mentoring and guiding members of the management team and other plant employees to achieve their maximum potential in working toward common plant and business goals and objectives.

Fort McMurray, AB Ammonium Sulphate
Syracuse, NY Sodium Nitrite
Qualifications
Initiate, investigate, review, and follow up on possible value-added activities/process improvements/ efficient use of raw materials that are beneficial to the business.
Prepare aggressive, achievable budgets for the plants.
Plant capital budgets
Plant Production budgets
Ensure the plants are capable of producing to meet business needs as required.
Ensure the plants are maintained in such condition that they can be run safely, legally, and reliably. This includes ensuring effective preventive maintenance and mechanical integrity programs are in place and capital reinvestment is being done as needed
Monitor and Report
Monthly/Quarterly Manufacturing Reports
Monthly/Quarterly Capital Spending
Monthly/Quarterly Production Reports
Daily Plant Operations
Review and report as necessary, all aspects of manufacturing, including safety, environmental, heath, production, maintenance, shipping, capital, project, and purchasing, to assure continued operations.
Lead the sites to continually improve their ESH and Responsible Care related performance ensuring Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance and Security.
Ensure timely reporting, investigation, and follow up on ESH incidents.
Ensure timely and effective follow up and closure of ESH action items.
IMS review
Project Scope Review
Capital Project Execution/Preparation
Human Resources Reviews
Plant Operational Reviews
Travel to facilities and meetings as necessary are a key part of the job requirements. Travel will fluctuate but could be between 30-60%

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 year degree in a technical discipline (usually chemistry or engineering)
- Advanced degree in related field (technical or MBA) preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing (at least 5 yr in supervision)
- Demonstrated success in fulfillment of the above to requirements.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
