The Regional Managing Director of HR Consulting is a key influential leader responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and overall strategy for HR Consulting within the Central region.

The Managing Director works closely and collaboratively with other functional business leaders within the region to provide innovative client solutions that ensure the overall success and growth of the region. The MD also works closely with HR consulting leaders from other regions to share best practices, collaborate on enterprise-wide solution offerings and ensure consistency of service, where applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

HRC Team Leadership

  • Coordinate regular team communications on relevant HRC and overall business changes, initiatives, etc.
  • Coordinate and lead regular HRC team meetings and attend, participate in and lead regional team meetings on behalf of the HRC practice
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to all HRC team members
  • Manage the team’s day-to-day HR and talent needs, including training, performance management, talent development, and recruiting, while working closely and collaboratively with the corporate People and Culture team to ensure people operations are in line with corporate culture and established practices
  • Lead or coordinate all HRC new hire onboarding and orientations.
  • Manage HRC team talent and resources against client service delivery needs

Regional/National Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategy to deliver financial results for the practice, including financial targets for organic revenue growth, organic EBITDA growth, margin and overall practice growth.
  • Fully integrate into Central Leadership teams through site visits, team meetings, joint client meetings, etc.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to partner with other regional HRC leaders to enhance communications and create efficiencies among the teams nationally
  • Support regional talent development activities and communications
  • Support national HR Consulting initiatives, such as, new product/service offerings, webinars, presentations and speaking events, national conference planning and support, etc.

Operations/Business Development

  • Coordinate and drive strategy to support Client Executives and Senior HR Consultants with objective of achieving regional sales and retention goals for the team
  • Lead convergence efforts with HRC team to drive cross-sale opportunities with different business verticals (ie, Employee Benefits, Retirement & Wealth, Property & Casualty)
  • Oversee the Client Retention Leader ensuring the highest levels of engagement success and client satisfaction
  • Manage/oversee administration of new HRC business including; proposals, pricing, MSA’s, Addenda/SOW’s, and New Client Setup by working with Client Executives to define scope of services and pricing based on client needs, reviewing MSAs, and overseeing New Client Setup work conducted by Client Executives and Client Retention Leader
  • Provide expert guidance to key accounts as the lead consultant

Accounting/Finance

  • Interpret client contracts and management of billable work to determine profitability of client.
  • Manage P&L to specified metrics such as revenue, gross margins, expenses and EBITDA
  • Partner with regional and corporate Finance team to administer HRC business bonus payments, including tracking certain metrics such as client retention and size of book of business.

  • Ability to travel to corporate office in Atlanta 1-2x per year, or if requested

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business or related field, required
  • Master’s Degree in HR, business or related field, preferred
  • 8+ years’ of progressive Human Resource Management/Leadership experience, required; 10+ years’ preferred
  • HR consulting experience, preferred
  • SPHR, PHR Certification, or related HR certification, strongly preferred

In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
